So, the Women’s World Cup is over and maybe everyone’s done with soccer for now, but in my world, soccer is never over. My youngest LIVES for soccer, loves soccer, breathes soccer. Soccer. Soccer. Soccer. Don’t tell him, but I think I have enough time to make him a soccer-themed birthday gift. What should I make?

There’s this awesome little crochet soccer ball and basket pattern that he could put all his little trinkets in. And you can never have too many soccer balls, especially if they are stuffed because winter is a long season here and we must get our touches in.
Or maybe a hat? This soccer ball hat crochet pattern is pretty cool.

Or maybe he would like a soccer player. It probably wouldn’t be too hard to customize this doll to reflect your favourite team… but he’d probably want me to make a whole team for him.
I suppose if I procrastinate and don’t have much time left, I could always make him one of these adorable soccer ball key chains. They’d also make fun zipper pulls!
Or I could whip up a few of these sports-themed appliques and attach them to his backpack.
Ok, my little guy is too big for these, but THEY’RE SO CUTE! Someone has to make them! These little soccer cleat booties would make such a fun gift for a soccer-loving parent of a newborn!

It’s a little hard to tell from this picture, but if it’s like 3amgracedesigns other patterns, it is probably more like a cushion-type of pattern, not a round soccer ball. But I think my little guy would love this Soccer Ball Kawaii Cuddler.
I am kind of leaning towards making him a blanket, if I could find some wonderfully soft yarn for him to cozy up with, I think I might totally make him this soccer ball blanket in a corner to corner crochet pattern.
