It’s that time of year again when makers everywhere begin reconciling their calendars with their handmade plans! Well, at least me anyways. I think my problem is that I keep thinking Christmas falls on December 25 and that I have so much time. But then I forget that I have to ship stuff to people and then there’s the busy-ness of the season that interferes with making time! So, if we’re going to be making a handmade holiday gift for our loved ones, we’d better get going!
So, what are we making, friends? I don’t know about you, but the greed-flation of billionaires and their big corporations is taking its toll on my budget. So how about we throw some support to some fellow independent makers? Grab a couple of handmade holiday gift patterns and make them for a bunch of people you love!
You can buy a pattern for under $10 and make it as many times as you like. You can make it in as many different colours as you like, for a unique handmade holiday gift for everyone on your list! I tried to limit this collection to quicker patterns so you will actually have time to make them AND send them to your friends and family!

Super Quick Handmade Holiday Gift Ideas

And it’s sure to attract compliments and conversation! The benefit of this pattern is you could easily adapt it to make an apple bag using red yarn. I absolutely have a bunch of super bulky yarn in my stash that I should use up. Medium Quick Handmade Gifts
The Fox Lover Hat Knitting Pattern from Gamlaknitwear uses Aran-weight yarn on 4.0 mm & 4.5 mm needles. This project would take a little longer to make than the others I have shared so far, but I think it’s worth it! How adorable would this little hat look on a toddler? So sweet!
Since we went with a slightly more involved knitting pattern, here’s a bigger crochet pattern. This Dinosaur Vest Crochet Pattern from Pixel Loop Crochet includes 3 sizes for kids 9 months to 5 years. It is crocheted with Super Bulky Chenille yarn and a 12 mm hook. So even though it is garment-sized, it will work up quickly with the large cozy yarn. One of the things I love about chenille yarn for crochet projects is that it’s so warm! It closes up the gaps in crochet work and it just crochets up so quickly!
Do you need unique and special teacher gifts?
