Boho Rug Crochet Pattern

I’m really attracted to boho style, but I find it really hard to incorporate into my house because I feel like eclectic styles like boho often look messy if not done right –and decorating isn’t necessarily my forte– so I’m torn. So, I mostly just collect ideas on Pinterest!

Check out this super great boho rug crochet pattern. It would be a great stash-buster!

Just a word of warning, though: those first few rounds will go quick, quick, quick and you’ll really feel like you’re making some progress. As it gets larger, the rounds (unsurprisingly) take longer… and longer. I made this race track rug for my son quite a few years ago and the outer rounds took FOREVER…

It is really cool, though.

I hope you enjoy this pattern and let me know if you make it and send me a picture of it in your boho-decorated room! I need to find a place to get some more boho in my life!

The Tegan Beanie

I know it’s not quite winter hat weather right now. In fact, it was such a long winter that I’m not sure I want to see another toque (that’s Canadian for winter beanie) again! But I couldn’t help but post about this after I stumbled upon this lovely pattern the other day.

*Disclosure: some of the following links are affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

Can you believe this is a crochet pattern? I love it! I definitely need to spend some more time crocheting next fall and this one tops my list for lovely colour-work projects for winter!

You can get the pattern for this “The Tegan Beanie” for only $3.33 CAD (today, anyway; the currency-conversion is always shifting, but suffice it to say it’s a reasonably priced pattern!) from Fiber and Fern Designs.

Best Baby Patterns

Spring is for babies! So many babies being born or babies-to-be announced! So it’s got me thinking about and searching for some lovely handmade patterns to knit and crochet as gifts to welcome these new babies! Check out some of them below.

*Disclosure: some of the following links are affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

I love this adorable crocheted deer hat. It would make a great gift for a baby of a hunting family (though, that’s kind of morbid if you think too much about it…) or super cute for a Christmas baby.

This sweet crochet pattern for a textured baby hat with an adorable bow would be the perfect gift for a new little girl baby! Pink and bows are so much fun! My little girl loved pink and I loved to make pink hats for her… now not so much with the pink. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Booties are always a great thing to make for new babies. I love to make booties because, with the right pattern, handmade booties will actually stay on a baby’s feet! So many baby slippers and socks will just slip right off and then you end up losing them and that’s a real shame. I can’t tell if this pattern above allows those ties to go around the ankle, but I know this pattern does, because I have made them a number of times and it is a great pattern.

It’s definitely easier taking photos of slippers once there are someone’s feet in them! You should totally try out this pattern if you have a baby in your life. Hook Candy has a couple of slipper patterns that I have made and they are really great.

Here is the pair I made for my youngest baby (over 7 years ago *sniff*).

Maybe you have lots of time or a very special baby coming your way, then you can crochet up this adorable set of booties with a matching hat! I love buttons on baby booties!

Farmhouse Style

We bought an old house almost 8 years ago, right before we had our third child, so it’s been pretty overwhelming. It needed some work. We did some work. It needed more work. We did some more work. It needed more work. We did some more work. We’re kind of tired of doing work, but it still needs more.

*Disclosure: some of the following links are affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

We’ve taken a little break over the past little while, but now I’m planning and dreaming again. We’re not really sure this house is going to work for us over the next 10 years, but we need to get some stuff finished up before we try to sell it. One of the important projects is getting our family room renovated properly. There are some ceiling issues from a leaky roof and window that we got fixed up and the flooring needs to be replaced as well. There’s a wall we might take out, but we’re still on the fence about it.

I think our family room would look great decorated in a farmhouse style. I already have some great plans for a DIY project for our table. It’s a double-pedestal oak table, with 2 large leaves. It can seat 10 people when fully expanded. I’m hoping to do this to it:

I’m not a big fan of really obvious fake-weathered things, but I like the rustic vibe of some farmhouse style. Check out these awesome Etsy finds for some pretty awesome farmhouse decor. I’m totally going to try to DIY some of these, or maybe even splurge on a few of them!

I love this rustic chalkboard calendar. I’m a big fan of the chalkboard look, as you may know.

There’s also this beautiful giant clock! I think I might be able to make one of these myself with this tutorial by Gather & Flourish.

I made a similar doily rug to this one for my bathroom, but I improvised a lot with on the pattern, so this way you actually have a pattern if you want to make one yourself. Here’s mine:

Beautiful doily rug made from recycled t-shirt yarn created by craft evangelist

I made this bathmat out of recycled t-shirts!

The same person who designed the doily rug pattern also created a pattern for these lovely crocheted baskets, which I think are absolutely adorable and fit in so well with farmhouse style decor or any decor, really! So sweet!

I’m sure I’ll have some other great farmhouse decor finds for you, since it’s really trendy right now and I’m just getting started with my ideas. You can check out my Farmhouse Style Pinterest Board for more Farmhouse Style inspiration!

This farmhouse style chalkboard calendar would look so great in our family organization hub! I love the chalkboard idea... start fresh each month! Gorgeous clock! This handcrafted farmhouse style clock will add a country feel to whatever room you hang it in. It's made of re-purposed pallet wood with hand painted numbers. The wood is a dark Brazilian rosewood (has a slight tint of red) stain with white numbers & hands.Beautiful crocheted rug pattern. These doily rugs look so cute! Love them! Make it yourself!Gorgeous chevron crochet basket pattern! Love it in this subtle white! Lovely handmade decor storage option! Sweet fruit basket idea!
