If you’re feeling ambitious and have some time to knit over the next month, this stunning The Nelson Pullover Knitting Pattern from Irmian Design is a classic and stylish knit men’s sweater pattern with Aran cables down the shoulders and sleeves. Your dad (or your kids’ dad) is sure to love this sweater!

The Dapper Dad Pullover Crochet Pattern from MJs Off the Hook Designs is a cabled sweater that is CROCHETED! This cozy sweater is modern and stylish and would look great dressed up for a special occasion or warm and casual for sitting around the campfire. This is a size-inclusive pattern with sizes for chest measurements from 34 inches to 64 inches.

I know I don’t usually share a lot of sewing patterns here, but I stumbled across this great Basic Hoodie with Mask Sewing Pattern from Barbarikum Gold that I thought was just fantastic. With a built-in mask, this hoodie looks good whether the mask is up or down or the hood is up or down. And masks don’t just come in handy during global pandemics: they also keep your face warm in the wind! I love the longer length, the front pocket, and the straight, unisex profile. I might just make one of these for myself! The pattern includes 7 sizes from Small to 4XL. You can download and print this pdf pattern on standard 8.5 x 11″ paper and get sewing this hooded sweatshirt today!

If you don’t have quite enough time to knit, crochet or sew a sweater for that special dad in your life, you might have enough time to make him a pair of slippers. This easy crochet pattern from Crochet Milie for Comfy Slippers for Men and Women looks like it would work up quickly for a pair of simple and modern home shoes, perfect for dad!

For a similar loafer-style slipper in a knitting pattern, the All Seasons Slippers Knitting Pattern from by Eline for both men and women, with sizes in Small, Medium, and Large. The sides are knit in brioche stitches (which I still have yet to try!) This pattern is also available in German!

If you both knit and crochet, you can make a pair of these stretchy Mule Slippers for Men from Katu Made. The sole is crocheted and the top is knit. As well, there are instructions for sewing onto a rubber sole to make these slippers super durable.

The Canadians are going to love this pattern! The Beer Thirty Mitten Cozy Crochet Pattern from Sweet Potato 3 Patterns is perfect for early summer camping weekends and sitting by the fire with a drink. The cup cozy has a bottom so you can’t easily drop this drink and it both protects your hand from the temperature of your drink as well as the elements. Maybe the men don’t need this as badly as I do, as my hands are often cold, but it’s such a fun idea and it will make a great conversation piece.

The Beer Mug Beer Cozy Crochet Pattern from You Should Craft is a quick and festive pattern full of fun for dad. Help keep his beer cold and hands warm with this fun beer mug cozy! These work up quickly with worsted yarn, so if you’re looking for something quick, this is your pattern!
Did you know that wool is an insulating fibre? It’s great for keeping things warm and cool! So if you had some wool around, it would make a great yarn for these beer cozy patterns! If you don’t know where to start, KnitPicks has a great selection of wool yarns at affordable prices; the Wool of the Andes yarns would work great for these.

Here’s a quick knitted project for you: The Knitted Bow Tie Pattern from Yorokobiness is a quick little pattern available in both English and Italian. The vintage style of this fun loom-knit pattern will delight your stylish dad. The seed stitch adds a lovely texture and keeps the piece nice and flat!

If you don’t have the skills to make your own crochet beer cozy or knit your dad a tie, you can still get your dad something handmade and special like this adorable beer mug Father’s Day Card from DiMon Handmade. You’ll have to get going on ordering this so it arrives in time for dad’s special day. If you can crochet, you can probably figure out how to make something like this! I couldn’t find a pattern, but give a go and see what you come up with!
