It’s Time to Start Making Christmas Gifts

Ok, yes, it seems weird to start thinking about Christmas as we’re just getting started with real Spring and Summer, but if we don’t start thinking about it now, we end up in a mad, hand-cramping, making frenzy in December or giving homemade gift cards for something we need to finish up in January-or worse-buying something! But if we start now, get some ideas, make some plans, and start working consistently, we can use the love we have for our friends and family to guide our making plans over the next 6 months and still enjoy holiday festivities come December. And won’t it be so exciting to present our loved ones with beautiful, thoughtful handmade gifts that we’ve been waiting with anticipation to give them?! So, once a month over the next 6 months, I will gather up a group of ideas and patterns to get us excited and motivated to start making some great gifts for our friends and family!

You thought I was going to start with complex patterns, didn’t you? But The New London Wool Roving Pillow Cover Knitting Pattern from The Autumn Acorn is a quick and easy pattern made with wool roving, so it works up super quickly and makes a thick, warm, and luxurious accessory. I’ve included it here for a couple of reasons: you might need some time to locate the materials you need, but the project will be quick and you’ll get the payoff of being able to check an item off of your make list, which will help keep you going!

Again, we don’t have to make elaborate gifts for everyone. The Hillcrest Cowl Knitting Pattern from Peony Knits is a relatively quick and easy knitting pattern. This would be a great project if you’re a new knitter and you want to make some stylish gifts for your friends.

Update: this pattern is unfortunately no longer available. Check out these other great cowl knitting patterns for some great options!

This beautiful Blossom Wall Hanging crochet pattern from 1 Dog Woof is a lovely home decor crochet pattern that will look fantastic on your friend’s wall! It would be a great wall decor for a baby’s room. Also, it can be hung upside down for a rainbow look: same pattern, two entirely different looks. Just a different placement of the tassels. How fun is that? You can totally whip up one of these for your friend with the boho chic vibe.

1 Dog Woof also has this great crochet pattern for the Plume Sweater, which is a batwing sweater, consisting of 2 seamed panels. This sweater is so versatile; it can be worn year round and it’s so on-trend, your fashion-loving friend will adore this sweater. It is size-inclusive, with sizes from XS to 5XL

If you’re less confident about your recipient’s size, you can make this Boho Poncho with Fringe Crochet Pattern from A Frayed Knot Boutique. This fun poncho can be a great way to use up some half skeins of yarn and you can make them in just about any combo for a different look each time.

Again, just because we’re starting early doesn’t mean we need to make everyone a sweater. The Abigail Monogram Towel crochet pattern from Two Little Birds Patterns is a great, thoughtful gift to make for your colleagues or the women in your small group. It’s also nice to work on a small project that uses light cotton yarn during the warm summer months.

The Wildrose Shoulder Bag Crochet Pattern is All About Ami‘s latest pattern using her signature wildrose granny square. It’s a great pattern to work on through the summer months and would make a delightful gift for your sister or friend. Who doesn’t need another a lovey, relaxed handbag? Also, you can get this pattern as part of a Lionbrand Kit, which includes the pattern and all the yarn you need to make this project.

Have you been meaning to try out the buffalo plaid trend? This classic pattern is used in the Buffalo Plaid Sheepskin Lined Cowl Crochet Pattern from Whistle and Ivy and just screams winter and Christmas. You will need to track down some sheepskin fabric for the lining, but the crocheted buffalo plaid is quick and fun to work on and it’s amazing how a few colours of yarn come together to make the plaid pattern. This would make a great gift for a friend or family member.

We can’t forget the fun of making handmade toys for kids. Amigurumi are crocheted stuffed toys that are so much fun to make and give. Check out this fun and adorable Crochet Yoga Lemur Pattern from Yarns of My Heart. This little stuffed toy is completely wired so it can be bent in all sorts of shapes for a fun and interactive toy!

Update: unfortunately, this pattern is no longer available. Check out these other lemur amigurumi crochet patterns for some great options!

Do you know a cat-lover? Make them their own snuggly kitty in just a few hours. This little bundle of 4 Amigurumi Kitty Cats Crochet Pattern from Ami Amore allows you to make different kitty cats for all the cat-lovers you know!

If you haven’t already started thinking about Mother’s Day, it’s time! It might be past time if you wanted to make something elaborate, but you still have time to create something beautiful for your mom for Mother’s Day! If you’ve been knitting or crocheting or embroidering for a while, there’s no need to present your mom with a mug from Winners; you can make beautiful and modern gifts that she will treasure and you will be pleased to see displayed in her home. Check out this collection of fantastic patterns and ideas for Mother’s Day!

How stunning would this Study in Circles Table Runner look on your mom’s coffee table (or your own: gorgeous!)? This crochet pattern from Whitty Creation Studio is a modern twist on old-fashioned doilies connected together as table cloths and wall hangings. I love the natural colour chosen here; it would look so pretty on any table.

This Boho Sun Cross Stitch Pattern from Terra Stitch is so fun and sunshiney! I love this 70s vibe. Maybe your mom is over the 70s, but I’m a mom and I would be delighted to receive this little piece of art!

This pretty Winter Rose Embroidery Pattern from Florals and Floss might be more your mom’s style. Florals and Floss also has great embroidery kits if you’re just getting started or you don’t want to shop around for all the different colours of floss you don’t have. I have purchased two of her kits and her instructions are great and the kits are so beautifully packaged. If you live in Edmonton, you can pick it up for free (and usually the next day!)

These gorgeous Wildflowers on Transparent Background embroidery kits from 55 Tree are just incredible, aren’t they? I am seriously considering making some of these for decorating our family room when we’re finally done renovating? (Did I mention we’re renovating again, soon? Well, that is the plan, anyway.)

Or you could make your mom a squishy, Chunky Bobble Crochet Pillow with this pattern by my friend Candace at Hello Wildflower Co. This pattern crochets up quickly with super fluffy chenille yarn. While it is an intermediate pattern, if you have the basics of crochet and can follow a pattern, the new stitches are pretty easy to learn and there are great tutorials online to learn: just Google it!

It might be a bit late for you to get this stunning Gaudi Sidewalk Crochet Blanket Pattern from Briana K Designs made by Mother’s Day, but I just had to share it here. Isn’t it incredible? I love the intricate tile-inspired pieces. You could easily match this to your mom’s decor by choosing a matching colour for the border and joining yarn.

A project like this Sunrise Jute Half Circle Rug Pattern from Vanilla Tuesday might be more reasonably completed by Mother’s Day. This is a beginner-friendly crochet pattern using simple stitches and makes for a chic minimalist design. Using jute makes it an environmentally-friendly piece that can be used indoors or outdoors. The fringed border adds just the right amount of personality!

Perhaps your mom would love a new handbag for the summer season ahead? Make her this Crocheted Boho Purse pattern from Nattochka’s Etsy Shop. I love this look; perfect for markets and festivals. This pattern comes with 55 pages of detailed instructions to make this lovely bag. The pattern is suitable for a more experienced crocheter and I am so intrigued. This is definitely on my Favourites list (but selfishly so: I’m not sure this is quite my mom’s style).

Flower are always a nice idea on Mother’s Day, but what about making an adorable little plant that needs no care and never dies? Some moms just don’t have that green thumb, so perhaps this happy little Crocheted Sunflower in Pot Amigurumi Pattern from Juliia Pyha is just the thing your mom would love! This is a great gift idea if your mom has pets that love to dig in the plants or if she likes to travel for long periods of time!

This adorable little Realistic Shihtzu Amigurumi Dog Pattern from Aleksandra Olga Style is a super sweet little stuffed toy crochet pattern that would be perfect to make to pay homage to a dog that has passed away or maybe if your mom is in a place where pets are not allowed. Handmade by you makes it just so special and a constant reminder of how much you love her.

Perhaps your mom would love a handknit summer tank top? This lovely Savannah Cool Knit Tank Top Pattern from Disturbing the Fleece is such a pretty and practical wardrobe addition. I love it when I can knit pieces that I (or someone else) will actually wear and this piece looks so versatile. Throw a denim jacket over it for a casual spring outing or a blazer for the office. This pattern calls for 100% silk yarn, which has such a gorgeous drape and feels light and luxurious!

I hope you found some inspiration of a handmade gift you can make for your mom this year. If you don’t get it made in time for Mother’s Day, just keep working and give it to her for Christmas! Pick up a pattern today and get making… or pin it for later!

Warm Weather Knit and Crochet Patterns

Lots of makers love to knit and crochet year-round, but often come up at a loss with what to make when the weather turns warm and they don’t want to be sweating under a heavy blanket or wait for months to wear their new toque (winter hat for you non-Canadians). I’m here to tell you that you can knit or crochet all spring and summer long and that there are plenty of wonderful options of things to make. Check out some of my favourites here!

*Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

This Summer Days Crop Top Crochet Pattern from Desamour Designs is a great intermediate or adventurous beginner-friendly pattern and is size inclusive with instructions to adjust the length and size of bra cup. Make a flirty crop top for yourself for this summer to stay cool and look great!

If you’re a knitter, there are great crop top options for you, too! The Summer Knitted Halter Crop Top Pattern from DPM Knits is an easy to follow knitting pattern that is written for sizes XS-XL and the length can be adjusted with the lace so that it can fit all body shapes! One of the lovely things about spring and summer patterns is that they are usually smaller projects, so they work up quickly and they require much less yarn than a blanket or a sweater. This cute crop top calls for only 1-2 balls of Paintbox Simply DK yarn and it’s super affordable!

Crocheted bags are one of my favourite go-to’s for warm weather making. I love the texture on this Maple Mini Bag Crochet Pattern from Slowmoments Crafts. The pattern includes a full video tutorial so you can follow along, making it perfect for an adventurous beginner crocheter to learn the star stitch pattern. It calls for Linen100 yarn (which I’m not familiar with, but I bet Lionbrand 24/7 Cotton Yarn would work great, too!

This Boho-Style Jute Eco-Bag Crochet Pattern from LapaLand is relaxed and textured and makes a perfect summer crossbody handbag for keeping your things near while taking a stroll in the park or at a festival (Do we get festivals again? Soon? Please?) I just love the natural colours of the jute and the wooden button. There’s just something so calming about these neutral colours and natural fibres. Sometimes it’s hard to find jute yarn, but you can get some here on Amazon, but I’ve also found it at the dollar store.

Bags are for knitters, too! This Easy Chunky Knit Crochery Bat Pattern from Striks And Mix Pattern is extra beginner-friendly with NO PURL stitches! So if you hate to purl or you’re just looking for a mindless pattern to use up a ball of your stash, this is the pattern for you! You can make multiple sizes by using different size yarns and the corresponding needles.

I just love the beautiful texture and drape on The Sweetpea Top Crochet Pattern from Evelyn And Peter. This is a size-inclusive pattern written in 8 sizes (S-5X) and calls for Lionbrand Truboo Yarn, which is a 100% bamboo yarn with a gorgeous sheen and a delicious drape! It is so soft so it makes the perfect yarn to make lightweight garments! This pattern is also available as part of a Lionbrand Kit, so if you want to get the yarn and pattern altogether, pick up the kit and save yourself the trouble of sourcing the yarn and pattern separately.

Isn’t this gauzy Summer Knit Top Pattern from ileaiye just dreamy? It is made with chunky yarn and some extra large knitting needles, which makes for a quick and easy project with this stunning, easy-breezy, boho style. If you’re not afraid to show some skin, it would make a gorgeous top to wear out and about or as a beach cover-up. So pretty! This is a super easy pattern and would work up quickly with the large needles!

I love the simplicity of the Silver Spring Knit Tank Pattern from wise knits designs. This easy knitting pattern is quick and easy and uses 550-1500 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn. I would recommend Lionbrand’s Cotton Ease Yarn for this project.

Did you know you can knit your own shorts? I never would have thought of it before, but these look so light and comfy! This Light Summer Shorts Knitting Pattern from Holly C Watson makes a pair of high-waisted shorts with a drawstring waistband and flowy, wide legs with a rolled cuff. I think these would feel lovely in this Bambu 7 Yarn from Lionbrand.

I hope this has inspired you to keep creating through the warmer months. There are plenty of fun and interesting patterns that make great projects for taking on the road or to the deck without sweating under a pile of wool! Pick up one of these great patterns today and get making! Or pin it for later so you don’t forget!

Then you can compare the size of the baby to the size of the stuffy in each photo. So cute.

Or if you’re up for a really quick project, why don’t you try this Red Fox Amigurumi Crochet Pattern? I love the fat tail and the wee little mouth on this adorable little ball-shaped amigurumi! They’re so quick to make up, you can easily make up a skulk of foxes to display or play with!

The same pattern designer, Mohustore, also has this Dinosaurs Crochet Pattern Set, which is a delightful set of tiny ball-shaped dinosaur patterns. So sweet! Such fun little toys for a little one to travel with!

Life Given You Lemons? Make Lemon Crafts!

You know what they say: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Or lemon-inspired crafts! I’m on a bit of a lemon kick these days. I actually love the actual fruit. I love to have a wedge of lemon squeezed in my water… delicious! But I also love all the pretty lemon things. I want to add a bit of a pop of lemon to my new bathroom, so I’ve been exploring lemon crafts to include (and also, I get wandering a little bit, so some of these are definitely not suitable for the bathroom). I hope you enjoy this lemon-inspired crafty round up!

*Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

I just love this impressive Lemon Tea Cosy crochet pattern! The pile of lemons on top is so real-looking with their little stem end! And I love the subtle little nod to experienced crocheters who would recognize the stitch in the body of the tea cosy as the lemon peel stitch. Super cute. It would look so fun in my kitchen!

Or check out this super great vintage set of lemon patterns for the kitchen! A rug, potholders, stool covers, and placemats. What a fun set of patterns. I love the simple in the round design, but with the little teardrop shape of the lemon! Such a fun pattern idea! Great vintage lemony vibe!

You don’t just have to decorate with lemons, you can make knitwear, as well! Check out this adorable lemon knitting hat pattern! This cute little hat may look a little complicated, but there’s just some simple shaping at the crown to give it that lemony profile and a little stem and leaf to top it off. It would make a great gender-neutral baby shower gift and comes in 4 sizes: 0-3 months, 6 months, 12 months and 2T.

For a slightly different profile for a darling Lemon Hat knitting pattern, you could try this one. Which one do you prefer1? I like the rolled rim of the second one, but I think either one would make an adorable baby gift!

Or you can crochet a cute little lemon treasure cake! I don’t think the photos do justice to this stunning piece of art! How fun would it be for a little girl to have a cute little lemon cake decoration, but to be able to fill it with her little treasures!? What if that little girl was in her 40s… that wouldn’t be so bad, right? Love this adorable crochet pattern!

On a more practical note, this Lemonade and Limeade Crochet Coaster Pattern is a fun and summery crochet pattern to rest your lemonade and keep it from sweating all over your furniture!

One of the options for decor in my bathroom is a small piece of embroidery. I’ve never been the most avid embroidery fan, but I do love the look of some of the options out there these days, like this Lemons Cross Stitch Pattern. I think it would look sweet hanging in my new bathroom (still not done yet: working madly!)

I think I like this pretty little Lemon Tree Embroidery Pattern even more though. I love the pretty flowers and the different stitches included here. The beauty of a pdf pattern like this is that you can buy it and download it and get working on it if you already have the supplies in your craft room!

I also found this super cool C2C graph for a lemon slice blanket. I love the close-up and modern feel of this lemon. C2C stands for corner to corner, which means you start in the corner and work through the graph diagonally is not something I have done much of, but it does kind of interest me. Perhaps when I’m up and ready again for another big project! I tell ya, renos take a lot out of a girl!

I’ve been thinking about play food amigurumis in a new way recently. I think they’re so adorable, but my kids are too old to be interested in playing with crocheted food, so I’ve been thinking that perhaps I could insert a sponge in them for filling and make them out of cotton and put them by the sink in the kitchen or the bathroom to clean with. What do you think? I think this Amigurumi Lemon Crochet Pattern would be a perfect candidate for such use. If you have ever done this, please let me know any tips or tricks you have!

Perhaps a whole lemon would be a bit easier to get a handful of suds to clean the dishes in the kitchen? What do you think? Also, this little Lemon crochet pattern is a great deal: under $1.50 CAD (so that’s probably like $1 USD!)

There’s also this super tiny lemon wedge crochet play food amigurumi pattern! It looks like it’s almost as small as a real lemon wedge! This designer has such mad crochet skills! What a great-looking pattern! It uses a 1.4 mm crochet hook (which is pretty small!), but look at the final result! This would make such a fun addition to a crochet play food set!

These adorable lemon slice crocheted pillow patterns would make a fun addition to any outdoor space! I love bright and cheery deck decor, so I think I could easily add one of these cushions to my deck! What a fun idea. It could be a great addition to a kids’ bed as well.

And I just had to include this darling Lemon-inspired crocheted doll pattern! I love everything about this sweet little doll, including her lime wedge pony-tail holders, her fun pigtails and adorable little smile! This sweet little doll would make a lovely handmade gift and looks like a ton of fun to make!

I hope you enjoyed this round up of crafty lemon-themed patterns. Pick up a pattern and get crafting today or pin it for later!

Bathroom Crochet Patterns

I know what you’re thinking. Bathroom crochet. You’re thinking dolls in crocheted dresses stuck into toilet paper rolls on the back of your grandmother’s toilet. You’re thinking toilet tank and seat covers. You’re thinking scratchy acrylic yarn and pink with white lacy gross-ness. Well, think again! I’ve got bathrooms on the brain this week because we started our main floor bathroom renovation this week. You can follow my stories on Instagram to see the progress that we make each day. While we’re still in the midst of a lot of dust and it feels like we do just enough demo each day to keep me constantly cleaning up (and don’t worry, I’m not overdoing the cleanup… it’s plenty dusty around here), I’m still dreaming of when we can outfit this bathroom up with accessories for that touch of warmth and homeyness.

*Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

The yarn choices are so much better these days. There are plenty of great cotton and t-shirt cotton yarns to choose from that would work great in the bathroom. You’re going to like the modern and trendy crochet patterns you can make for your bathroom (or other rooms) that I’ve collected here for you today. Check them out.

This Square Crochet Basket Pattern is a great way to store bathroom essentials, either in a drawer or cupboard or on the counter. This stitch is beautiful and sturdy and I love the basket weave look to this pattern! Use a bulky weight t-shirt yarn or make your own t-shirt yarn.

I love the natural look of these baskets that you can make with this Square Stacking Jute & Cotton Crochet Nesting Baskets Pattern. Jute is a little difficult to crochet with, but it has such a lovely natural, rustic result, it’s totally worth it. You can find jute at the dollar store or a hardware store or from one of these Etsy sellers.

If you’re not into the square basket thing (I don’t get it, but ok), crocheting in the round is fun and easy. Try out this Easy Modern Round Crochet Storage Basket Pattern to make a textured round basket with a pop of colour. I think a mustard colour would look great with that grey, don’t you?

Need a set of crochet hooks? This Crochet Hook Set has everything you need to get started with crochet.

Counter and shelf space is often at a premium in small bathrooms, but there’s often plenty of unused space on the walls! Check out this Crochet Hanging Basket Pattern Bundle and make yourself some handy little hanging baskets to hold all your spa essentials!

If you need to hold a few smaller items (or plants!!!) this Aubrey the Cute Crochet Basket Pattern uses the waistcoat stitch (so it looks knit!) It’s a nice tight stitch without holes, so it makes a great thick, sturdy fabric for little baskets.

Bathmats are another great accessory you can crochet for your bathroom, like this Get Naked Bath Mat Crochet Pattern. It’s spunky and fun and makes a great handmade bit of character and personality for your bathroom.

Here’s another cozy way to add some cushion to your cold bathroom tiles: the Pebble Bathroom Rug Crochet Pattern makes a lovely, cushioned, nature-inspired bathmat to bring some softness and organic vibe to the bathroom. I think this is really fun and would be so cozy to step out onto after a relaxing bath in my new soaker tub!

This Alicia Doily Crochet Rug Pattern was as similar pattern as I could find to the doily-inspired bathmat that I made for my bathroom before we renovated (see Insta post below). I made it when i spruced up and painted the bathroom the first time. It’s a little stained and dirty right now, but I still love the look of it. It needs a good bleach to bring it back to its former glory.

If you’re not quite there yet, crochet skill-wise, you can always pick up this Natural White Crochet Rug on Etsy. There are so many great crafts-people on Etsy, making beautiful things with their hands, and especially when you consider how many hours go into making these beautiful handmade items, they are always a great deal, if you don’t have the time or skill to make it yourself!

If you have a window in your bathroom, you might want a handmade curtain to provide a bit more privacy. This Vintage Crochet Curtain Pattern is a lovely lacy, motif-style crochet pattern, made with fine crochet cotton and a 1.25 mm (no. 3) steel hook. What a fun way to add a vintage vibe to a bathroom window… or any window, for that matter!

You didn’t think we’d get through a whole bathroom crochet post during COVID-19 and omit TP covers, did you?! This Crochet Toilet Paper Cover is not your grandmother’s TP cover, though! Not a pattern, but made to order in a trendy colour, with a stylish faux-leather tag, this would be a hip and fun way to warm up your bathroom and protect your precious, hard-earned TP.

Once your bathroom is outfitted with the essentials, it’s time to prep for spa time! Make yourself this Crochet Bathroom Set of Patterns, complete with a washcloth, guest towel, wash mitt, face scrubbies and a laundry bag for a warm, handmade luxury for your bathtime.

Need to improve your crochet skills for one of these projects? Check out Craftsy’s online crochet classes and learn at your own pace!

While we work on renovating our bathroom, you guys can work on making some crocheted bathroom accessories! Show me what you’ve made (I’d love to see! Tag me on instagram: @craftevangelist!) And then I’ll get making mine when we’re done! (Hopefully by the end of the month! (?!? I hope.) Pin it for later so you can find all these great ideas when it’s time to get making!

Spring Home Patterns

We’ve finally climbed out of the bone-chilling winter temperatures (and only a month into spring! #whydoilivehere?), so it’s definitely time to celebrate! It’s time to open the windows, enjoy some fresh air, and take walks without a coat (sweaters still required). And it’s definitely time to bring some spring life into our homes. Here in Edmonton, garden centres and greenhouses have been declared essential services during this pandemic(#agree), so I’m so excited that we will be able to get some plants since I didn’t start any seeds this year. There’s still some time, so I might still get to it. Maybe tomorrow afternoon…

Anyway, let’s bring some spring indoors! We still have some chilly evenings ahead and since we’re hunkered down so much, we have some time to freshen up our indoors with some lovely handmade spring decor! Check out these patterns to get making today!

*Disclosure: this post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click on them and buy something, you don’t pay any extra, but I may get a small commission.*

Bring some homey-ness to your plants with a Crochet Planter Pattern. Warm up your plants and add some cohesiveness to your home decor. I know I have a bunch of mis-matched planters around my house, so wrapping them all up in a matching set of crocheted planters like this would be perfect!

Spring is the perfect time to try embroidery! There are so many wonderful, springy embroidery patterns to check out, including this Beginner Floral Embroidery Pattern. Small crafts like this are so portable, perfect for sitting on the deck and enjoying the fresh air while relaxing with a new craft!

I also love this Dandelion Hand Embroidery Pattern. Modern and pretty, this pattern looks like it would be easy to accomplish and I love that it would work so nicely on a dark background. It really makes the light colours pop!

I’m so sorry I didn’t find this Easter Bunny Gnome Crochet Pattern before Easter for you all (and for me too!) I love gnomes! I just think they’re soooooo cute! I love the whimsical bunny ears coming from his hat (let’s not imagine anatomy, ok?) So cute… and it’s a perfect time to get a jump on next Easter.

If there’s a baby due this spring, this Spring into Summer Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern is the perfect, simple crochet pattern if you’ve ever wanted to try corner to corner crochet. It looks lovely made in this multi-coloured yarn!

This is the perfect time to make a Hello Spring Crochet Pillow! Crochet pillow covers are so fun and great to swap out during the year for seasonal changes to your living room. These patterns are adorable and customizable so it will always match your decor! Make those flowers in whatever colour you like!

I love wreaths! And what better time than spring to bring in a Knitted Flower Wreath Pattern into your decor! Check out these cute knitted flowers and leaves. They look gorgeous on this vine wreath. I probably wouldn’t hang this outdoors, as I don’t think the yarn would hold up to the elements very well, but it is a lovely way to bring a hint of spring into your home!

I know I usually focus on fibre arts here, but there are so many crafts worth trying. This French Beaded Crocus Pattern is a beautiful introduction into bead-work. What a lovely looking project to try! Have you ever tried beading like this? So neat!

What better way to breathe life into your home than making one of these Trinity Macrame Plant Hanger Pattern to hang your plants. This is definitely a 70’s throwback, but macrame is vintage and very trendy right now. So many fun ways to hang plants! I remember doing macrame in Girl Guides when I was a child. And I also made a lot of friendship bracelets in my early twenties, which uses some of the same knot techniques used in macrame.

I love this modern take on macrame. And I might even be able to find a place for this Macrame Planter Hanger Pattern for the wall… maybe in my bathroom upstairs… Or perhaps in the bathroom down here when we get around to doing that.

There are so many other lovely DIY patterns and supplies featured in this Etsy Editor’s Picks as well. Totally worth checking out if you’re looking for some new crafting inspiration!
